Our commitment to our employees and the communities we operate in is two-faceted: we aim to foster their development and personal satisfaction, while also keeping them safe and sound.

Our Culture

 

Our success at DSP is largely due to our people. We believe the best way we can reach our company goals is by working together with our employees in their professional and personal development, resulting in mutual benefit. This joint approach results in a sense of shared purpose and increased engagement, which shapes and strengthens our culture.

 

Annually an employee engagement survey is conducted to determine our focus areas to keep developing the best possible environment in which our people can learn and grow.

Safety and Health

 

Our Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies are extremely well developed, best-practice policies and are integrated throughout our operations at global, business unit and site level. Several recurring annual programs are put in place to continue raising awareness on safety and health in our workplace, as well as regular assessments done on our employee’s health and workplace circumstances.

 

Associated recordable injuries to our safety program have been monitored and improved since the start of our safety and health program, with a total of 47 injuries in 2001 to 9 injuries in 2016.

Corporate Social Responsibility

 

We feel responsible for contributing to the sustainable development of society. We aim to add value to people’s lives by providing economic, social and environmental benefits. We therefore continuously undertake new initiatives to improve people’s lives wherever we can, such as free health aid, as well strengthening local youth and education with proper school materials and supplies.

 

Some of our contributions to the communities in which we operate:

 

India - Education

• Renovated the building of an educational institution

• Provided teachers to the local state Government school.

• Donation of 1,250 school desks

• Installing 65 water filters and water coolers for several schools

• Free school notebooks and bags for children

• Free computers for the local middle school

• Provision of an instructor for physical training and exercise

 

India – Healthcare

• Set up of a medical health center

• Free medical consultation and check ups

• Free medicines

 

Mexico – Education

• Educating children on taking care of our planet
